Switching to a vegetarian diet can be daunting for some, but fortunately there is an array of amazing websites, articles, and books to help one through the vegetarian transition. Many vegetarian cookbooks and/or vegetarian diet chefs will lay out a meal plan to help someone transitioning into the diet feel like the journey is well-mapped out, realistic, and most importantly, achievable.

Below is an additional meal plan that offers options for every meal of the day, including snacks and dessert. Components of the meal ideas can be interchanged to provide daily variety. The options are listed by ease of preparation (easiest at the top).

Breakfast Ideas

Option 1

  • 1 to 2 packages of instant oatmeal (look for healthier versions without as much added sugar or hydrogenated soybean oils) -or- all natural granola with your milk of choice
